You can customize your base unit to suit your preferences using the BS Settings
menu. This menu is protected by a base PIN (Personal Identification Number)
which is required for the access.
You can set the date, time, and dial mode in the BS Settings menu. For
information on how to set these features, see paragraphs Choosing the
dial mode and Setting date & time on page 14 / 15.
Changing base PIN
A base PIN is required to protect your base against unauthorized use. It is set to
0000 at the factory. You can change the base PIN as follows:
1. Press the MENU soft key to display the main menu items.
2. Press the arrow keys to choose BS Settings, then press the
SELECT soft key.
3. Enter the current base PIN and press the OK soft key.
4. Press the SELECT soft key to access 1:PIN Change option.
5. Enter the new four-digits PIN you want to use for the base, and
press the OK soft key.
6. Enter the new PIN again to confirm it, and press the OK soft key.
7. To exit, press the
key.
If at step 3 you enter the wrong PIN, your phone returns to standby mode.
Moreover, the display does not show the PIN as you enter it in order to
maintain it secret.
If there are several handsets registered to the base station, the other
handset userscannot access the BS Settings menu without having the
newly changed Base PIN.
Forgetting the base PIN is the same as losing a key. If you have forgotten
the handset PIN, please contact your dealer.
