Measure the rice.
Always use the measuring cup supplied with
the rice cooker (for rinse-free rice as well).
A level filling of rice in the supplied measuring
cup is approximately 0.18 L (5.29 oz) which
is less than 1 cup of a U.S. standardized
measuring cup.
Tips
●
Fill the supplied measuring cup as shown below.

Note
●
If a rice dispenser is used, errors may occur and
the rice may not cook properly.
● Always use the specified volume of rice (see
“Specifications” on P.47).
If other ingredients are to be added to the rice,
see P.13.
2
Wash the rice. (This can be
done using the inner pot.)
For rinse-free rice, see P.13.
Note
●
Do not use hot water (over 95°F [35°C]) to wash
the rice or when adding water. It may prevent the
rice from cooking properly.
3
Adjust the water level.
Place the inner pot on a level surface and
adjust the water level to the appropriate line
of the corresponding scale on the inside of
the pot.
Tips
●
Check the type of rice and the menu and adjust
the water level to your personal preference.
(See the guidelines on P.13)
When cooking 3 cups
of white rice, adjust the
water level to line “3”
on the “Plain/White”
scale.

cooking, or enable the lid to open and the contents
to spray out, resulting in burns or other injury.
