Appendix C Remote Extender Jack Technical Description and Protocol
The remote extender jack on the Casablanca rear panel serves as a direct electrical pathway to the input section of the
main microcontroller. Using this jack eliminates the need to attach an IR transmitting device to the front panel IR
receiver. This input requires a demodulated signal. **

**There are companies who manufacture units that strip the IR carrier from a signal. One such company is Xantech,
who makes the model 794-10. If this unit is used, a series of dipswitches need to be set on it. These settings are as
follows:
