LCD Control Panel
Timed Mode Operation
Proceed as follows to run the centrifuge in timed mode of operation.
1. Set the desired parameters, as explained in the section
“4. 2. Set Basic Centrifugation Parameters” on page

on the control panel.
The centrifuge starts running and the LCD display changes to indicate the correct speed.
When the centrifuge has accelerated to the pre-set speed, the timer starts counting the remaining time.
3. When the remaining time has elapsed, the centrifuge will stop automatically.
NOTICE
You cannot open the lid as long as the centrifuge is spinning.
Program Mode Operation
Proceed as follows to start a previously stored program.
1. Press any of the program selection keys
Program 1
to select a program.
NOTICE
There is no need to set any parameters. All settings are included in the program.
2. Press the
Start
key
Start
to start the centrifugation run with the selected program’s setttings.
The centrifuge starts running up to the pre-set speed.
The LCD display changes to reflect the acceleration process until the centrifuge reaches the pre-set speed.
When the centrifuge has accelerated to the pre-set speed, the timer starts counting the remaining time.
3. When the remaining time has elapsed, the centrifuge will stop automatically.
NOTICE
You cannot open the lid as long as the centrifuge is spinning.
Handling Error Messages
Error messages may occur when you try to start the centrifuge. Frequent root causes include the following:
Set speed exceeds admissible speed for rotor
Imbalanced load
Unapproved rotor found by rotor detection

4. 5. Stop an Ongoing Centrifugation Run
You can stop the centrifuge at any time by pressing the
Stop
key
Stop
on the control panel.
Proceed as follows to stop an ongoing centrifugation run:
1. Press the
Stop
key
Stop
on the control panel.
2. Wait for the speed drop to zero.
The message END appears in the LCD display.
You can now open the lid and remove the centrifuged material, as explained in
