AMBIENT TEMPERATURE ERROR TROUBLESHOOTING FLOW CHART
Error code
“T”
This error code occurs if
the ambient temperature
is out of range.
The temperature must be
between -40°C and 60°C
to be valid.
Place multimeter across test
points AMBTEMP (blue) and
AGND (black) on interface
board (see note 1).
Ensure ambient temperature
probe is properly attached to
the back of the instrument.
Voltage

Place multimeter across
test point +15V (red) and
AGND (black) on interface
board.
No
Voltage =
~ +15V?
No

Replace ambient
temperature sensor cable
R&P P/N 51-004352-0001
Check continuity of cable
between P54 and ambient
temperature sensor back
panel connector (P52) (see
note 2).
Continuity OK?
Replace cable
R&P P/N 51-005633

1.The voltage at this test point is related to the
temperature according to the following
equation:
1°K = 10mVDC (nominal)
2.Pins for continuity check of cable P54 to P52:

Go to the statistics screen
and observe the ambient
temperature reading.
