3. For non-parcel post shipments over $2,500, a customs declaration letter
must accompany the shipment. It should be worded as follows:
“I, __________, declare that to the best of my knowledge and belief, the
articles herein specified are products of the USA; that they were exported
from the USA, from Albany, New York; and that they are returned
without having been advanced in value or improved in condition by any
process of manufacture or other means.”
Indicate on the declaration letter the items being returned and the purpose
for return (“For Credit,” “For Replacement” or “For Repair”).
