Follow these steps to check the round battery:
1) From the Partisol Main screen, press <F5:Setup> to enter the
Setup screen (Figure 3-10).
2) Press <F1:Edit> to enter the Edit Mode.
3) Change the time or date to a new value and press <Enter>.
4) Turn off the instrument, wait approximately 20 seconds and turn
the power back on.
5) From the Partisol Main screen, press <F5:Setup> to enter the
Setup screen.
6) If the time or date is the same value as entered in step 3, the
battery is functioning properly. If the time or date shows a differ-
ent value than the value entered in step 3, the battery must be
replaced. Contact R&P.
7) Restore the time or date to the correct value.

The battery-backed RAM socket battery has an approximate 2-1/2 year storage
capacity if the unit is unpowered and stored at temperatures between 0° and 40° C.
