Communication / Networking
Capabilities
The Controller RS-485 Serial interface offers several
advanced communication capabilities. The Controller is
equipped with two, independent RJ-45 serial ports. These
ports are intended for connection to another CryoExtra
Controller, PC, serial printer or other RS-485 device. Up to
100 controller can be successfully networked.
Below is a summary of the different
communication / networking capabilities:
•
Host Computer
– The Controller can communicate with
a computer via an RS-485 converter and Controller
Connect or Windows HyperTerminal. Through the use of
simple ASCII commands, all Controller settings and
functions can be monitored and adjusted with these
software programs. In addition to ASCII communication,
ControllerConnect also offers a user-friendly event log
downloader. The event log is downloaded as a comma
