The first time the instrument is powered up, it responds to the standard factory configura-
tion, display of the measured value without classification. To enable working with classifi-
cation, the tolerance working mode must be activated (see corresponding paragraph).
– Unpack the instrument.
– Insert plug of power supply adapter into socket (No 2 Fig. 2), and connect power sup-
ply to mains 230 V (or 115 V for USA).
– Connect gauge head(s) to input socket (No 3 and 4 Fig .2).
– Push the ON/OFF switch (No 1 Fig .2) to power up the instrument. The instrument now
runs a self test, duration about 2 seconds.
– The instrument is now ready for measurement.

Caution
the switch setting is only taken into consideration when instrument is powered up. To
modify the setting, the instrument must be switched off.
The instrument memorises the setting about 20 seconds after the last modification.
After a setting, the instrument goes back to its initial configuration.
6 FUNCTION KEYS
The instrument setting as also the selecting of functions are controlled by touch-panel keys
with low resistance. 9 touch-panel keys for TT20 and 10 keys for TT60.
