The following preparing procedure is recommended:
– Switch off the instrument.
– Connect the probes to input A and B.
– Switch on the instrument.
– Select A as measurement function.
– Zero-set offset (see chapter Setting the Offset).
– Put master gauge into position.
– Move probe against job until the display shows approximate zero.
– Clamp the probe.
– Select B as measurement function.
– Zero-set offset (see chapter 6.2 Setting the Offset).
– Move probe against job until the display shows approximate zero.
– Clamp the probe.
– Select the measurement function (±A±B).
– Set the display by means of
function keys to the value of the master gauge (see
chapter Function keys).
– Carry out measurements.
8 CLASSIFICATION BY LED AND INTERNAL RELAY
When working in tolerance mode, the classification by LEDs and internal relay is active.

MEASUREMENT Mode
The LEDs and the internal relays follow the value of the displayed function.
Hold Mode «HOLD»
The display indicates the measured value, the internal relays are open,
the LEDs are off and the synchronous output is deactivated. These func-
tions return to their active function when key released. The displayed
value is sent to the RS232 output.
