7. STOVE STRUCTURE AND OPERATION
The stove «Tunguska» operates in a regime of active combustion under temperature rise in a sauna. The stove
operates in an economic regime under selected temperature maintenance.
Overall view and layout of the main elements of the stove are presented in figure
6
.
In «Tunguska» bath stoves the firebox (4) and the deep non-aerated stones section (1) are made of heat-
resisting high-alloy stainless steel with the content of chromium not less than 13% and walls thickness of 3 mm.
The casing-convector (8) covering the heating surfaces of the stove accelerates the heating of air in the steam
room by means of powerful convectional flow it generates. Besides it screens off the high-level infra-red radiation
emitted from the burning hot walls of the fire chamber and this creates mild warmth in the steam room and serves
as the protection from accidental touching the stove during its operation.
Special channel (2) supply the secondary air into gas pie channels of the stove for after burning of the
exhausted gases and thorough warming up of the sauna heater.
The stove would be heated by using an outboard fuel canal from the adjacent room. Also, the stove would be
heated by using modification with a short fuel canal from the steam room.
Revolvable door of the combustor opens to a necessary angle for accessible and secure fuel load.
For models 'Tunguska 2011» and «Tunguska XXL 2013» the door is produced in two interchangeable versions:
the steel door (11) with the function of external panel self-cooling and the door of special design with translucent
screen made of heat-resistant glass Schott Robax® (12).
«Tunguska 2011 Vitra» and «Tunguska XXL 2013 Vitra» models are equipped with panoramic fuel channel (9)
and the door with translucent screen made of heat-resistant glass Schott Robax® with diagonal of 17
”
. In the upper
part of the door there is a gap for pyrolysis self-cleaning of the translucent screen from soot accumulation.
The screen made of heat-resisting glass enables to visually control the burning process and simply admire the
view of fire.
