The platform control box contains two control
modules; The VCON is a LCD screen mounted
between the secondary boom and drive joysticks.
The PCON (platform controller) inside the platform
control box communicates with the VCON and
controllers located on the turntable of the machine.
The joystick controllers at the platform controls
utilize Hall Effect technology and require no
calibration. Automatic calibration of center
voltage occurs on power up if the signal value
is in the valid range. Each joystick controller
should operate smoothly and provide proportional
speed control over its entire range of motion. The
remaining boom functions operate by on/off toggle
switches. Except for platform level, the speed of
these functions are controlled by a function speed
control switch.
The platform controls VCON can be utilized to
perform a number of tasks; Read active and stored
faults, battery SOC (State of Charge), select
options, and aid in the calibration process.
