Operating mode 3
Description
In mode 3, a switching window is taught in between the sensor and the background
threshold. The sensor is activated as soon as an object or a person enters the selected
trigger zone(s). This mode is used for monitoring a frontal approach or level fulfilment, for
instance.
Please note that mode 3 is not recommended for monitoring lateral movement or
detecting small objects. Obstacles that partially enter the sensors Field of View
may be detected at an incorrect distance, caused by an averaging effect (refer to
).
