12. Reinstall the bearing side cover onto the

gearbox. Make sure the cover is seated

down over the locating pins. Install two hex

screws for now. Tighten the screws to

18 -- 24 Nm (15 -- 20 ft lb).

13. Use a large channel lock pliers to pull the

drive motor to the front of the gearbox.

Place one side of the pliers over the small

pulley and the other side of the pliers on the

front side of the gearbox. Squeeze the pliers

until the belt is tight

(1/16 inch play at

midpoint).

Tighten the two motor mount

screws to 18 -- 24 Nm (15 -- 20 ft lb).

14. Install the second belt cover onto the

gearbox. Install the remaining four hex

screws and tighten to 18 -- 24 Nm

(15 -- 20 ft lb).

15. Reinstall the gearbox assembly onto the

wheel support assembly. See TO INSTALL

GEARBOX ASSEMBLY instructions in this

section.

16. Remove the jack stands and lower the

machine to the floor. Operate the machine

and check the gearbox assembly for proper

operation.
