SCRUB ATTACHMENT
SCRUB ATTACHMENT
The scrub attachment option gives the machine
the added flexibility to scrub floors. It consists of
five groups of parts––the solution tank and debris
tray, the side and main scrub brushes, the
recovery tank, the vacuum fan, and the rear
squeegee.
The solution tank, debris tray, and side and main
scrub brushes are to be removed when sweeping.
The recovery tank, vacuum fan, and rear
squeegee may be left on the machine. The rear
squeegee must be kept in the “up” position to
prevent being damaged however. The solution
tank and debris tray takes the place of the
sweeping hopper. The side scrub brush takes the
place of the side sweep brush. The main
sweeping brush is also exchanged for a scrubbing
brush in the conversion.
SOLUTION TANK
The solution tank supplies the scrub brush with a
water and detergent solution. It is mounted in
place of the hopper.
The solution tank requires no regular
maintenance. If detergent cakes on the bottom of
the tank, remove the deposits with a strong blast
of water.

SOLUTION DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
The solution distribution system consists of a feed
line from the solution tank to a cable controlled
flow-rate valve, then to the solution spreader tube.
The solution spreader tube distributes scrub
solution to the scrub brush. It must be positioned
so the solution runs down toward the side brush
to work effectively. It may be flushed out if it
becomes clogged with soap or other debris. A
drain plug is located on the end of the spreader
tube.
Before cleaning the solution spreader tube, make
sure that the cable controlled flow-rate valve is
opening fully.
A brush and hot water may be needed to remove
stubborn clogs. A sharp instrument may be used
to clear the small distribution holes in the
spreader tube.
