Rack Installation
The Lightspeed G-Series Servers are designed to fit into a standard 19-inch (483 mm)
equipment rack with support front and rear, using supplied rack rails and rear support
extensions.
WARNING:
Stability hazard. The rack stabilizing mechanism must be in place, or the rack
must be bolted to the floor before you slide the unit out for servicing. Failure to stabilize the
rack can cause the rack to tip over.
Assembling the Rails
The inner rail extensions install on each side of the chassis as shown. Align the
extension’s holes with the hooks on the side rail and slide the extension forward to
engage the hooks until the quick release bracket snaps into place. For added stability,
you can secure the extension with a screw.
The outer rails assemble by sliding the front and rear sections together as shown.
