Replacing a Thruster
To replace a thruster:
1. Turn off the power switch and disconnect the batteries.
2. Disconnect the thruster cable.
3. Remove the skeg by first removing the screw holding the skeg on the Kort nozzle. Then remove
the two M4 screws, and flat washers. Slide the skeg away from the Kort nozzle to free it from the
slot and set it aside (see Figure 21).
4. Remove the four M4 screws and flat washers on the thruster mounting plate. Thread the cable
through the access holes and place the thruster.
5. When installing the new thruster, pass the cable through the hole before installing the four M4
screws and flat washers. Tighten the screws to 10.6 IN-LB.
6. Install the slot on the skeg onto the Kort nozzle and install the screw. Install the two M4 screws
and flat washers. Tighten the two M4 screws to 10.6 IN-LB.
