4.1.5   Install Pigtail Fiber Connectors

Refer to 

Figures 4-4 

and

 

4-5

 for this procedure.

Pigtail fi bers connect to connectors that plug in to the back of the 
patch panel in the rear of the LTX panel.  

1. 

Locate connector designation number on the designation 
card that is located on the LTX panel door. Record fi ber 
information.

2. 

Plug in connector with attached pigtail fi ber at designated 
connector location and run pigtail fi ber to the splice tray.

3. Proceed 

to 

Section 4.1.6, 

Route Pigtail FIbers in the Splice 

Tray

 before installing the next pigtail fi ber connector. 

NOTE:  Each splice tray contains sleeve holder slots for 36  
pigtail fi bers.
