With Behnke's IP video server software
you get to use a work station PC running the IP
video software that does not share the same
network with the door intercom. Without the
IP video server software and with standard
settings, this is impossible as the software
uses UDP broadcast by default, a service that
cannot be routed. Behnke's IP video server
needs to be installed as a Windows service on
any given work station PC meeting the system
requirements (cf. page 30) inside the door
intercom network. It uses the Windows event
log for protocol, configured via an applet in the
control panel.
▸
Use the item Language to change your
programme language.
▸
The item “Clients” shows the IP interface
the IP video clients on the users' work station
PCs connect to. Please enter the IP address
of the work station PC running the server
software here as well. This data will then be
configured in the IP video server as explained
on page 39. The client uses the TCP
protocol for connection. The port entered here
also needs to be enabled in the firewall and in
the router respectively.
▸
The “Log-Level” determines, how many
details the server keeps in its log. Use the
windows event log to access the protocol.
▸
Use the “Service Manager” to start and
stop the IP video server service.
▸
Click OK to save your configurations and to
exit set-up.
▸
Use Cancel to leave your configurations
unchanged.
▸
Click on “Save configurations” to save the
current settings while leaving the window
open.
The items camera, status and door intercom are
irrelevant for this application.
