By default, the
user named
“administrator” is
set-up wit the
password
“1234”.
By default, the video server is set to no user
administration, hence there is no checkmark
in front of “Password required”. In case you
wish to set-up user administration, you need
to set this checkmark : Then, you may enter
the user name and password + . This
information will be saved both on the video
server and in the local configuration for this
video server. To change the administrator
password, enter “administrator” as the user
name and then enter the new password. To add
a new user to the video server, simply enter
a new user name that has not been entered
before. This will give you the opportunity to give
each work station its own user name, where you
want to access the video server from multiple
work stations.
Please note: Please make sure that all work
stations will be configured with the same
administrator password.
The configurations will be activated and saved
on the video server by clicking the button “Save
configuration”. It is possible that you will be
prompted to enter the administrator password
for the video server. By default, this password
is “1234”.
3.3. IP Configurations
Port
Use this box to set the port in order to get to
the video server's web interface.
DHCP Settings
By default, the IP configuration for your
video server is set to DHCP, indicated by the
checkmark in front of
“IP configurations via
DHCP”
. The other boxes then only serve
information purposes. Once you have removed
this checkmark, you may manually set-up the IP
configurations of your video server. - .
Please note: Please talk to your system
administrator prior to making these changes!
Errors in the IP settings may lead to network
failures.
To activate changes to the IP settings, the
video server needs to reboot. The software will
automatically reboot after a corresponding
prompt has been confirmed. Clicking the
“Cancel” button in this prompt will result in the
changes being deleted; then they need to be
re-entered at a later stage.
