1710J-Series Waveform Monitors

Example: R117 on Assembly (circuit board) A3 would be listed in the Replace–
able Electrical Parts list as A3R117.

NOTE

. Always consult the parts list for part numbers and descriptions when

ordering replacement parts. Some parts may have been replaced or have a
different part number in an individual instrument.

Replaceable Mechanical Parts. 

This list is arranged so that it corresponds to the

exploded view drawing for major instrument components. The list and exploded
view drawing follow the schematic diagrams in this manual. Standard Accesso-
ries, which are also included in the parts list, are also in the exploded view
drawing.

Signals and power supply voltages are passed through the instrument with a
system of interconnecting cables. The connector holders, on these cables, have
numbers that identify terminal connectors; numerals are used from pin 2 up. A
triangular key symbol is used to identify pin 1 on the circuit board to assist in
aligning connector with correct square pins. Figure 8–10 shows the numbering
scheme (and the triangular marking) on the etched circuit board.
