TE470/TE480 Instruction
Manual
If the start of cycle device is activated before the control unit moves from the programming phase to the
working phase, it will not be considered. Release the control device and start it again.
As soon as the welding cycle is activated, the control unit checks the data of the selected program. An error
message will be displayed if the values of the parameters are not compatible.
Below the three working modes are described and the three programming screens are shown according to the
parameter selected in the WORKING MODE.
The screens contain all the programmable parameters.
2.2 – PERCENTAGE ADJUSTMENT OPERATING MODE
The welding percentage value can be set in the percentage adjustment working mode (WORKING MODE
parameter selected in PW%). In this mode, the control unit measures the real effective value (RMS) of the weld
current and shows the current value at the end of the weld.
The percentage adjustment operating mode does not foresee any secondary coil feedback during the welding
process; for this reason, it is suitable for being used especially when one operates in difficult working conditions,
beyond the welding tables, as for instance when using a very short welding time where it would be critical to use
one of the more complex working modes foreseen in this control unit.
