CONNECTION TO PLC (PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER)
7.1
Interface with the PLC:
Features, signals and connection
The communication between the tester and a PLC is possible with the 15-pin socket
connector "D" located on the device rear panel (point 7, par. 2.2).
The connector is intended both for exchanging signals coming in and out, between the
PROVASET

tester and outer devices, and for connecting a FOOT START CONTROL and
outer lights (LEDs).

0V common for the auxiliary power supplies

Connection to the PLC
Connect the power 24 Vcc of the PLC to input [3] and the common 0 V PLC
to input [4].
Connect the output "START" from the PLC to the photo-coupled input [9]:
High signal (24Vcc) equal to "START".
Connect the output signals [10],[11],[12] to the intended PLC inputs:
High signal (24Vcc) respectively equal to "Passed", "Failed", "Test in progress".
