The three-phases test cycle is based on 5 programmable parameters.
T1
Filling time
Time T1 is started after the START command: It is the filling phase. Air comes out from
the outlet connection on the front panel (see par. 2.1 point 5) to fill the piece being
tested at the test pressure Pr.
If the filling of the piece to be tested is provided outside the equipment, the time T1
can be set at 0 (zero): at the START command the equipment skips the filling phase
and, without opening the valves, the test directly starts from time T2.
By selecting the option Pr/T1 in the configuration parameters for the type of test with
three phases, the filling phase is automatically interrupted when the test pressure Pr is
reached, without waiting for the end of time T1.
T2
Settling time
It is necessary to wait until the elastic parts in the tested piece are settled.
At the end of T2, if the pressure inside the tested piece is within the set percentage
limits %Pr max and %Pr min, the pressure value is stored as reference point for
checking the Dp leak limit in time T3.
T3
Measuring time
The pressure decay inside the tested piece is measured.
At the end of time T3, the tester stores the test result and displays the pressure decay
that was measured at the test end.
Pr
Test rated pressure
It is the pressure value at which (with a programmed percentage tolerance %Pr max
and %Pr min) the leak test is carried out.
The percentage tolerance limits %Pr max and %Pr min of the test rated pressure Pr are
programmed in the “configuration and options” menu.
Dp
Pressure Delta
It is the maximum limit of pressure decay or pressure increase which is accepted
during the T3 time.
A pressure decay is indicated as a negative value, with a minus sign, a pressure
increase is indicated as a positive value, without sign.
