2.3 Set up the TG234 as station
Step 1: Switch the TG234 to Auto mode
Take the TG234 out of its box and move the mode selector on the back to
Auto
.
Step 2: Connect the TG234 to your set-top box
You can connect up to two set-top boxes to the TG234:
For each set-top box:

Connect one end of the Ethernet cable (this is the cable with the yellow connectors) to the one of the yellow Ethernet
ports on the back of your TG234.

Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to your set-top box’s Ethernet port.
Step 3: Power on the TG234

Plug the connector of the power supply adapter into the TG234’s power inlet port (
).

Plug the adapter into a power outlet.

The
Power
LED instantly turns solid green. If this is not the case, check the connections that you made.

Wait two minutes to allow the TG234 to complete the start up phase.
Step 4: Connect the TG234 station to your access point (or repeater)

Press the
WPS
button on the TG234 station that you just installed.

If you don’t want to rely on the automatic mode selection mechanism, you can force the TG234 to station mode by
moving the mode selector to
Station
.
If the
Link Quality
and
Wireless
LEDs are on then you can skip this step because your TG234 and access point
are pre-paired.
