Basic Operation
Regular Operation
Closing the lens shutter of the projector will automatically
activate Blanking/Muting of the video/audio.
This is a convenient function when you do not have a re-
mote control handy, or you would like to temporarily blank
the video.
Technical Point
Auto Focus
A press of the AUTO FOCUS button activates the Auto Focus function, and
adjusts the focus automatically.
When the
Auto Focus setting is On , the focus will be adjusted automati-
cally when the size of the projected image is adjusted with the zoom ring,
or when the angle of the screen is adjusted; however, if the adjustment has
not been favorable or
Auto Focus is set to Off , use this button to adjust
the focus.

Auto Keystone
A press of the AUTO KEYSTONE button activates the Auto Keystone func-
tion, and automatically corrects the keystone distortion of the projected
video.
When the setting of
Auto Keystone
is
On
, the vertical keystone correction
will be performed automatically when the projector is tilted up or down,
etc.

Temporarily Blanking/Muting the Video/Audio
This convenient function can be used when you would like to temporarily
blank the video and mute the audio.
A press of the BLANK button will blank the video, and the background color
of the setting (blue or black) will be set.
To project the image or video again, press a button with the exception of
the POWER/STANDBY button. •

What is Keystone Distortion?
Keystone distortion is distortion of the projected image that
occurs when the projector is tilted vertically or horizontally
with respect to the screen.
There are two types of keystone distortion, in the horizontal
direction when the projector is slanted to the left or right,
and in the vertical direction when the projector is tilted up or
down. This projector can manually or automatically correct
the distortion in the vertical direction.
