3.5.1.1  Brake Pedal to Steering Column clearance 

 

With the Brake Pedal set to the forward most position it is possible, if the Pedal travel is slightly long, for it to 
make light contact with the Steering Column.  On cars with this set up MSV advise: 

 

I. 

Sweep the Pedal through its full stroke as if bleeding the Brakes and check clearance. 

II. 

If there is contact, the tip of the Pedal Pad can be cut or filed away until clearance is achieved. 

III. 

The red Pedal Stem must not be altered. 

 

 

 

The throttle pedal potentiometer has to be set in order that when the pedal is in the idle position, the following 
voltage is shown: 
700mV+/- 50mV
