CONTROLS
CONTROL CONSOLE
11. Auto-cruise button (cruise control)
Do not use this button on the following
roads.
• Heavy traffic roads where a safe
spacing between vehicles cannot be
kept.
• Roads with many steep down slopes or
curves.
• Slippery roads due to freezing or
snowing.
Note:
When traveling the slopes (up or
down), a constant vehicle speed cannot be
retained due to the gradient.
The cruise control (automatic
constant speed traveling device) is a
feature that enables to retain a
desired vehicle speed without operating the
travel pedal.
This function is available in the low-speed
travel (Turtle) mode or in the high-speed
travel (Hare) mode. Note that it only applies
to the “forward” traveling.
Setting a speed
1. Fully depress the travel pedal.
2. Press the auto-cruise button to set to the
maximum speed. The cruise indicator
lamp lights up on the display, and the
auto-cruise button lamp also lights up.
The travel speed can be adjusted by
increasing or decreasing the engine RPM
(throttle control).
Canceling the speed setting
To cancel, do either of the following. The
auto-cruise display lamp will also go out.
• Step on the brake pedal.
• Step on the travel pedal.
• Press this button again. The button lamp
will also go out.
12. Parking brake button
Pressing this button will turn on the
button lamp, indicating that the
parking brake is engaged. The
parking brake indicator lamp lights up on the
display.
Pressing this button again will turn off the
lamp and the indicator lamp, indicating that
the parking brake is disengaged. (When the
safety lock lever is fully lowered to the
unlocked position while the engine is
running.)
IMPORTANT: Do not activate the parking
brake while digging. Doing so could
damage the brake disk due to the
excessive load acting on it. Lock the
brake pedal by depressing it down.
Note:
The parking brake is automatically
activated when the power is turned off.
