This chapter explains how to use optional accessories.
By using a separately sold cap frame, you can embroider visored caps.

Attach the base of the ring shaft at the place for
installing the ring shaft at the lower part of the
bed, and fasten it with the screw.

7.1 Using the cap frame
Caution
Please take note of the following things regarding use of a cap frame.
Type and size
When using a cap frame, you can embroider visored caps.
Do not use the following types of items, since the embroidered results will not be good, and it could
lead to bent needles and the malfunction of the machine.
• Hats that are not of the cap type
• Hats made of fabric that tends to get wrinkled or stretches and contracts easily
• Hats that are of a size that won't fit in the cap frame (small hats or extremely shallow hats)
Range within which embroidery can be carried out
When sewing designs using the cap frame, allow at least 10 mm distance from the stitching of the
visor, and use only designs that will fit within the embroidery area shown below.
• Vertically: 75 mm or less
• Horizontally: 300 mm or less
