7.2 Installing the RAID Battery Backup Unit (BBU)
Step 1
To install the RAID battery backup unit, follow these steps:

Open the RAID battery backup unit cover (A) and connect the cable as shown (B).
Step 3
Close and latch the battery backup unit cover.
Step 4
Insert the RAID battery backup unit into the server system making sure the hooks on the
underside of the RAID BBU aligns with the matching chassis tabs and slide towards the power
supply until it locks into place (C).
Step 5
Connect the cable from the rear of the RAID battery backup unit to the midplane board (D).
Step 6
Install the large air baffle.
Step 7
Install the processor air duct.
Step 8
Install the PCI riser assembly.
