b) Generating user PIN codes
General information:
• A specific user ID (a number from to
, without "0"
at the beginning) can be assigned to each user PIN code.
• User PIN codes can also be programmed without a user ID.
This speeds up the process of creating user PIN codes.
• If a user ID is not specified when a user PIN code is
generated, the code lock will automatically assign the next
available user ID. However, it will not then be possible to
determine which ID was assigned.
If you do not assign a specific user ID to a user PIN
code and record it in a list, this can lead to problems
later.
If an employee leaves the company or loses a user PIN
code, you will not know which user ID to delete, and the
user PIN code will not be available for deletion!
Instead of simply deleting a user ID with the
corresponding user PIN code, all data stored in the
code lock would have to be deleted for security reasons
in order to prevent unauthorised access.
We therefore recommend that you assign a user ID
for each authorised person's user PIN code and enter
all data (employee name, user ID, access by user PIN
code, etc.) in a list.
