Remote access
You can call your answering machine from another telephone to switch it on or to play messages
and execute other functions. Remember that the calling telephone must support tone dialling.
PIN code for remote access
The
Remote PIN
is set to 1234" by default. It is recommended to change the
Remote PIN
to
ensure that no unauthorised persons gain access to your answering machine.

If you have changed the PIN code for the remote access function and subsequently
forgotten it, refer to the PIN code for remote access in the menu;

Starting remote access
The telephone used for remote access must be set to tone dialling.
Dial your number from an external telephone.
If the answering machine is switched on, the outgoing message is played after the de-
fined number of rings.
If the answering machine is not switched on, the telephone is automatically activated
after the 10th ring and a longer acoustic signal is issued.
Initiate the remote access function.
A longer acoustic signal is then issued.
When the answering machine is switched on, you must initiate the remote access func-
tion while the outgoing message is being played. Therefore, it is important that the out-
going message is sufficiently long.
Enter the 4−digit PIN for remote access. A longer
acoustic signal is then issued.
You can now execute other functions
