Jumper Settings
Explanation of
Jumpers
To modify the operation of the moth-
erboard, jumpers can be used to
choose between optional settings.
Jumpers create shorts between two
pins to change the function of the
connector. Pin 1 is identified with a
square solder pad on the printed cir-
cuit board. See the motherboard
layout pages for jumper locations.

Front Side Bus Speed
The FSB speed is set with JP11
and JP12. Table 2-16 displays the
settings for these two jumpers.
T h e C P U s p e e d c a n a l s o b e
changed by software control in
BIOS (see CPU Speed setting).
The CPU Speed setting will show
you the actual CPU speed for each
FSB speed option selected.
