A. For customers running multiple applications with varying requirements,

the ST9985V's unique ability to host tiered storage and enable logical

partitioning reduces investment and operational costs by providing

tiered storage within a single, centrally managed system.  ST9900

Tiered Storage manager software allows the customer to dynamically and

non-disruptively move their application data to the right platform as

the value or the processing characteristics of the data changes over

time. It can do this with internal storage as well as that of

externally virtualized heterogeneous storage systems.

Q. How do I order the ST9985V?

A. The ST9985V model including both hardware and software is available in

Comergent at GA. A webinar training is available to provide

application training for the Comergent tool as well as how to

configurator the ST9985V within the new tool.
