Cowl

☐

Connect ESC to motor and fish wires through

back of motor mount and into fuselage.

☐

Secure motor mount to fuselage using four

4-40 x 3/8 in. machine screws.

Do not over

tighten screws.

☐

Trim and paint cowl to match scheme of

model. Measure and mark locations at 2 and

4 inches from top of cowl at 1/4 in. from back.

Battery Hold Down

We suggest using an additional retention

device for your battery pack. Double sided

hook and loop strap (not included) makes an

excellent battery pack “seat belt”.

Fit cowl over fuselage (center motor shaft

hole in cowl to output shaft of motor) and

temporarily retain with masking tape. Drive

four #2 x 1/4 in. sheet metal screws, two on

each side, through cowl and into long tabs on

fuselage. Remove tape, screws, and cowl.

Harden screw holes with thin CA glue then re-

install cowl.

Install an 8 in. length of 3/4 in. wide self

adhesive hook and loop tape (not included)

within fuselage centered between servo

pockets and F2.
