Wing Construction Cont.

Fit tab in TE4 to notch in “squared” end of

TE5. Now fit TE4 and TE5 to notches in rib

R3. Seat parts completely flush against rib

R3 then tack with medium CA glue. Repeat

for opposite side of wing.

Cut the provided 18 in. length of 0.45 in. dia.

paper tube into two equal 9 in. lengths.

Tab rib R4 into T1 and TE5 then tack with

medium CA glue. Next, gently work one 9 in.

length of 0.45 in. dia. paper tube centered

through holes in ribs R1, R2, R3, and R4.

not glue paper tube within ribs.

Repeat for

opposite side of wing.

Tab rib R5 into T1 and TE5 and tack with

medium CA glue. Now, fit S1b to S1a

spanning R4 and R5 and tack glue at ribs. Fit

servo pocket SR1a to R5 and S1b and tack

with medium CA. Finally, draw S1a and S1b

together at scarf joint and bond with CA glue.

Repeat for opposite side of wing.

Tab ribs R6 and R7 to wing assembly first at

T1, then at S1b, finally at TE5. Remember T1

stands 1/16 in. proud of ribs. Tack with

medium CA glue to retain parts. Repeat for

opposite side of wing.

Fit and bond two sets of WTa, WTb, and WTc

to create two each part WT wing tip.
