Final Assembly Cont.
Headrest
☐
Use two 1/8 in. dia. drill bits to align the
following parts in order: HR3, HR2, HR1,
HR1, HR2, and HR3.
☐
Sand steps out of part and round. Tip: Test fit
with cockpit in place within fuselage as a
guide to match shape of seatback.
☐
Mount completed headrest with thick CA glue
behind cockpit seat back so as not to cause
interference when removing cockpit. Fillet
gap between headrest and turtledeck with
covering or self-adhesive AeroTRIM.
Mount Rudder and Elevator Servos
☐
Use HS-65HB servo for elevator and
HS-65MG (preferred) for rudder. Prepare
servos for mounting by removing stock servo
horn then using your radio to electronically
center servo.
With servos centered, use hardware that
shipped with your servo to mount (from top
down) through servo pockets in fuselage
center crutch with tabs resting on top of
crutch.
☐
Prepare servo horns. Locate the long, single
sided, control horn that shipped with your
HS-65HB/MG servo. Install Du-Bro RC Micro
E/Z Connector [DUB845] through second
hole from inside of horn.
Mount prepared servo horns to, centered,
servos with horn perpendicular to servo body
and facing center of fuselage. Pass wire
push rods (straight side first) through guide
tubes from aft end of fuselage forward
through EZ connector. Do not secure within
EZ connector and
DO NOT TRIM!
