The
Device data transfer
tab is where you
upload and download configurations to and
from physical
QuadPlex
devices. When
downloading or uploading configurations, the
order of the layouts shown in the
QuadPlex
application will the order shown in the on-
screen layout selection menu on the physical
QuadPlex
devices.
A configuration consists of the following
information:
Layouts
Output settings
Input settings
Network settings
From top to bottom, this tab includes the
following functions:
Search:
Enter the serial number or IP
address of a physical
QuadPlex
device and
then either press [ENTER] or click the
Search icon (magnifying glass) to locate
the desired device in the list.
Physical devices:
List of physical
QuadPlex
devices on the network.
Upload:
Uploading replaces the
configuration of a physical
QuadPlex
device with the configuration of a virtual
QuadPlex
device. To upload a configuration to a physical device, select a virtual
QuadPlex
device, then select a physical the physical device in the
Device data transfer
tab, and then
click
Upload
.
Download:
Downloading replaces the configuration of a virtual
QuadPlex
device with the
configuration of a physical
QuadPlex
device. To download a configuration from a physical
device, select a virtual
QuadPlex
device, then select a physical device in the
Device data
transfer
tab, and then click . The name of the virtual device changes to match the name of the
physical device from which you downloaded the configuration.
Device information:
Hovering the mouse cursor over a
QuadPlex
device in the
Physical
devices
list displays the following information for that device:
Model number:
Model number of that
QuadPlex
device.
Serial number:
Serial number of that
QuadPlex
device.
IP address:
IP address of that
QuadPlex
device
MAC address:
Unique physical address of the network connector on that
QuadPlex
device.
