Fireplaces should only be installed in rooms and at locations where the
position, structural conditions and type of use will not create any hazards.
The floor area of the room where it is installed must be of such a type and
size that the fireplace can be correctly operated in accordance with the
instructions.
The ambiente a1/a2/a3/a4/a4H2O/a5/a7/a8 stove is a non-room air sealed
(open flue) fireplace. Problems may therefore arise if the stove is operated
at the same time as a ventilation system such as a kitchen extractor hood
or bathroom fan. Appropriate measures should be taken in such cases to
ensure that the stove can be operated safely (pressure monitor, door contact
switch, etc.).
These safety precautions do not apply in the case of a room air sealed
appliance (ambiente a1/a2/a3/a4/a4 H
2
O RLU).
2.1.1. INSTALLATION LOCATION
Your ambiente a1/a2/a3/a4/a4 H
2
O/a5/a7/a8 stove must not be installed:
1. In stairwells and landings, except in residential buildings with no more
than two flats.
2. In corridors accessible to the public
3. In garages.
4. In rooms or flats that are vented by ventilating systems or hot air sys-
tems using blowers, unless the safe operation of the stove is ensured.
5. In rooms where highly flammable or explosive substances or mixtures
are processed, stored or manufactured in such quantities that ignition or
explosion would be hazardous.
2.1.2. MULTIPLE USAGE
Multiple usage of the chimney in accordance with DIN 18160 is possible as
the ambiente a1/a2/a3/a4/a4 H
2
O/a5/a7/a8 stove has a self-closing firebox
door (a1). However, multiple usage must always be discussed and agreed
in advance with the master chimney sweep responsible for such matters in
your area. Note that all fireplaces connected to the same chimney must also
be approved for multiple usage.
