10.2 Installing the SRM stud chuck with PH-3N SRM
Installing the SRM stud chuck
Step 1:
Switch off the stud welding device if the gun is connected to the
stud welding device.
Step 2:
Set the stud chuck to the required stud (see chapter
“7.1 Setting the
Step 3:
Remove the tripod with the shielding gas
cap. To do so, undo the four socket head
screws.
It is not essential to remove the tripod
with the shielding gas cap, but it
makes the job easier.
Step 4:
Undo the union nut.
Step 5:
If there is still a stud chuck in the gun, remove it.
Step 6:
Slide the stud chuck to the end stop in
the spring piston of the gun.
Step 7:
Hand-tighten the union nut.
