8.20. SEND VOLUME TAG command (B6h)
The SEND VOLUME TAG command transmits a Volume Tag template to
search the Elements in the autoloader for an Element having the specified
Volume Tag information. The function of this command is specified in the Send
Action Code area. The REQUEST VOLUME ELEMENT ADDRESS
command is used to return the search results.
Table 8.20.1 : SEND VOLUME TAG command
The Element Type Code area defines the Element Type. When the Send Action
Code is Translate Operation, the area specifies the target Element Type. When
this value is 0, all Element Types are targets of the Translate Operation. When
the Send Action Code is not Translate Operation, the area is reserved. The
Element Type is defined as follows.
0h - All Element Types
1h - Medium Transport Element (robot: non-storage function): no hold function
2h - Storage Element (Cartridge Slots)
3h - Import/Export Element (non-existent): not supported
4h - Data Transfer Element (tape drives)
