Chapter 8 SCSI Commands
Table 8.2.1.1 : Standard INQUIRY data format
The Peripheral Qualifier and Peripheral device-type fields indicate the
connected logical unit devices. The autoloader only supports logical unit 0.
Therefore, when LUN is zero, 08h is returned; when LUN is not zero, 7fh is
returned.
Table 8.2.1.2 : Peripheral qualifier
Table 8.2.1.3 : Peripheral device type
A Removable medium (RMB) bit of 1 indicates that the media is removable.
When it is 0, the media is not removable. Because the autoloader handles
removable media, this field is 1.
00h is returned for the Device-type modifier field.

Qualifier
Description
000b
The specified peripheral device type is currently connected to this
logical unit. If the autoloader cannot determine whether or not a
physical device is currently connected, it shall also use this
peripheral qualifier when returning the INQUIRY data.
This peripheral qualifier does not mean that the device is ready for
access by the initiator.
001b
The autoloader is capable of supporting the specified peripheral
device type on this logical unit; however, the physical device is not
currently connected to this logical unit.

Reserved
011b
The autoloader is not capable of supporting a physical device on
this logical unit. For this peripheral qualifier the peripheral device
