Control
The ERASE command causes part or all of the remaining data within a partition to be erased at the current logical
position. Any write data that is currently held in the buffer is written to tape before the ERASE is executed.
Immed:
If the Immed bit is set to ZERO, the drive will not return status until the selected operation has completed.
If the bit is set, status will be returned as soon as the operation has been initiated.
Long:
If the Long bit is set to ONE, it will be written from the current logical position until EOM/EOP. If the Long bit
is set to ZERO, EOD will be written to the current logical position.
