1-4-2. Configuring System Management Information (SNMP MIB-2 Variables)
In this window, the setting of the e-VTR system information is available.
These information are the variables defined by the system group of the MIB-2. The contents set here is
referred as the system management information of e-VTR from SNMP Manager, but these contents are
not affected to the e-VTR operation.
When several e-VTRs are monitored by a SNMP Manager, it is effective to set the system to the content
which is easy to distinguish.
In each field, only the first 32 characters are significant.
sysContact:
Generally used to enter the name of system manager or contact point.
(Example: Phone number etc.)
sysName:
Generally used to enter the name of the system.
(Example: “e-VTR-001” etc.)
sysLocation: Generally used to enter the name of the place that the system is located.
(Example: “A-Studio” etc.)

To enable writing the system management information from SNMP Manager, it is necessary to enter
the “Read-Write Community” on the SNMP Agent Variables window. (Refer to “1-4-1. Configuring
SNMP”.)
