Open your Power Macintosh by first loosening the security screw
(Figure 2, inset)
on the back of the case with a large flatblade
screwdriver; then, gently slide the case cover off the computer
(Figure 2)

Identify the internal components of your computer. Touch the
power supply metal shielding
(Figure 3)
to discharge any potential
damaging static electricity.
