Serial Port Control
The Serial Port allows the RB-DSD1 to be controlled and updated from a PC via a pin-to-
pin serial cable, using the Sonifex Serial Control Interface (SCI) software. This software is
available as a free download from the Sonifex website at www.sonifex.co.uk/sci.

Serial Interface Commands and Responses
Most of the commands follow the same structure: a 3 letter command followed by a colon,
followed by a parameter (if any) and terminated by Carriage Return with optional Line Feed.
A Line Feed character may be sent but it will be ignored by the RB-DSD1. Commands are not
case sensitive.
Responses are CR & LF terminated.
After the RB-DSD1 has been powered-up, an initialisation string is sent
“Initialising DSD1”.
