Descaling
We recommend removing any deposited scale once a month in case of hard water and every
2 months in case of medium hard or soft water.
1. When the appliance has cooled down, fill the water tank with a 1:1 mixture of water and
10% vinegar to the Max mark (1.4 litres).
2. Snap the filter holder on the machine without any filter.
3. Place a cup under the outlets (20).
4. Tap the espresso button, then wait until the program stops. Repeat this 3 times.
5. Immerse the frothing nozzle in half a glass of water.
6. Touch the steam heat-up button (11). Do not wait until the heat-up completes, but
immediately open the steam valve for approx. 1 minute. Then close it and let the appliance
stand for 15 minutes. Repeat this 3 times.
7. Tap the double espresso button (10), then wait until the program stops. Repeat this until
the water tank runs out. Repeat steps 4 to 7 with clean water until you no longer smell
vinegar.
8. Follow the steps described under PUTTING INTO USE, and then you can start using the
coffee maker again.
