The following instructions are based on normal implementa-
tion conditions. For special conditions like strong dust accumu-
lation, or particularly long, daily working times, the specified
maintenance intervals should be shortened accordingly.
Regularly execute the maintenance work. It may be necessary to a have a specialized workshop do this for you,
if you cannot do this work yourself. The device owner is also responsible for:
damages caused through non-specialized maintenance or maintenance not per
formed at the proper time.
Consequential damages - corrosion as well - in the case of improper storage.

9.8 Shutdown and storage
For stops longer than three months the following work steps should be executed: Empty and
clean the fuel tank at a well ventilated location.
Start the motor with empty fuel tank run the engine until the carburetor is empty and the
motor shuts off. Otherwise the carburetor nozzles could become encrusted with fuel mix
residue and make a subsequent start more difficult.
Clean the motor device well (particularly the air intake openings, the cylinder heat sink
fins, the air filter and the tank duct area). Store the device at a dry clean and secure loca-
tion. There should be no open flame possibilities or similar in the vicinity. Prevent unau-
thorised use.
Generally keep children and youths away from this motorised equipment.
