5. Insert the line trimmer (1) and secure with
two screws (2).
5.4 Contact protection installation (model 105)
FIG. 11
1. Turn the shaft end (1) so that the cut-out is
flush with the hole in the shaft interior (2).
Insert the handle of the included spark plug
spanner (3) as locking pin and, thereby, lock
the rotary shaft. Thread and tighten the Line
head clockwise onto the rotary shaft. Remove
the spark plug spanner and keep in a safe
place.
2. When removing the Line head, turn the
shaft end again so that the cut-out is flush
with the hole in the shaft interior. Insert the
handle of the included spark plug spanner as
locking pin and thereby lock the rotary shaft.
Remove the Line head by turning it manually
anti-clockwise from the rotary shaft.
1. For model 106B, the contact protection (if
in the form of metal wings) is secured to the
shaft tube with two clamps (1). The overlong
gearbox fixing screws (2) must protrude into
the holes in the contact protection shield
(anti-rotation protection).
2. When fitting the line head (model 106L and
106R), insert the spacer (3) included in the
delivery with two M5 x 55 screws between the
lower clamp and the contact protection shield.
The overlong gearbox fixing screws (4) must
protrude into the holes provided in the spacer.
Fit the line trimmer blade (5) into the holes

1. Position the clamp (2) in the correct way
(with the angled edge pointing towards the
gearbox) on the gearbox output shaft (1).
2. Note: The internal recess in the clamp
should point away from the gearbox to enable
this recess to accept the corresponding raised
part in the boss washer (5).
3. Turn the gearbox input shaft with the clamp
so that the recess for the locking pin (3) is
flush with the recess in the winding protection
(4) or the gearbox housing.
