Vacuum Replacement
A general purpose, external vacuum is required with 3Z Series printers. The most critical
requirements are:
High volume air flow
High thermal shut-off level relative to air flow
A Schuko CEE 7 style plug for 230V systems
A Nema 5-15 style plug for 115V systems
Vacuum bags capable of capturing very fine dust particles (1 micron)
Quiet operation, less than 60 dBA, or at least quiet enough for your environment.
High reliability and long life under nearly continuous operation
Should your 3Z printer come without a vacuum or you need to replace an old vacuum,
Solidscape recommends the vacuums listed below. These vacuums have all been tested with
Solidscape equipment, are quiet and include variable suction control. They can typically be used
at the lower, quieter suction settings. These products are available from numerous internet and
local retail vendors and directly from Solidscape.
